Whitechapel Road Improvements Programme Survey

The Whitechapel Road Improvement Programme focuses on the area of Whitechapel Road from the junctions with New Road and Vallance Road, to Cambridge Heath Road and Sydney Street. It comprises 3 strands: 

• Public Realm: improved pavements, street lighting, greening and street furniture 
• Market: upgraded stalls for a better trading and shopping environment 
• Market Management: Determining a vision for the long-term success of the market and improving day-to-day operations 

The programme also closely aligns with Transport for London’s (TfL) property repairs project, which is supporting essential repairs to properties along the High Street.
