Tower Hamlets Council is proposing some changes to the Fair Access Protocol (FAP), these have been made to align with changes in admissions code, DfE guidelines and national plans for alternative provision and SEND. We value your feedback in the proposed changes, please review the PowerPoint presentation and complete the survey.
Some changes have already taken place and these are generally to align local FAP with latest DfE guidance and Schools’ Admissions Code 2021. Schools should become familiar with latest guidance and the Admissions Code as they now form the basis of local FAP and their requirements in terms of all in-year transfers and admissions etc. These include:
Tower Hamlets managed moves through LEAP are now transitional moves.
Direct moves between schools are now managed moves.
Reintegration programmes at LEAP (period of time at LEAP with return to original school) are now off-site placements
