What is the council doing to help tackle climate change?

Ongoing projects to support a reduction in the borough's carbon emissions:

• Air quality: pollution enforcement, monitoring and information, Mayor's Air Quality Fund grants to community groups, schools and housing providers, Breathe Clean awareness campaign
• Biodiversity
• Buildings: New town hall, retrofitting existing buildings, renewable energy generation
• Energy: Boiler replacement scheme, grants for businesses, Big London Energy Switch, efficiency support for schools and vulnerable residents as well as information and advice for residents and businesses.
• Transport: cycling training, parking and facilities, LED street lighting, Liveable Streets, School Streets, Streetspace, electric vehicle charging points
• Waste and recycling: food waste, garden waste, home composting, recycling
