Rushmead - new council homes

The Mayor is committed to making Tower Hamlets a place where people can live in high quality and affordable Homes. The Council will work with Developers and Housing Associations to build 4,000 social homes for rent with a focus on 3–4 bedroom homes.

The Council are proposing a new design scheme from the previously proposed scheme, which obtained planning permission when we previously consulted you on in June 2023.

In relation to the new indicative design, we want to consult with residents once again with a latest updated proposal before submitting the planning application at a future date.

We will be hosting a drop-in community consultation session where you can talk to officer’s face to face regarding the proposed development.
