Cyril Jackson Primary School Road Safety Improvements

Tower Hamlets Council is proposing road safety improvement scheme outside Cyril Jackson School on Grenade Street

The Council is considering the installation of a zebra crossing with other minor improvements near the school to improve pedestrian safety and provide a safer crossing point for pupils, parents, school staff, and other members of the community.

The proposed crossing aims to:

  • Improve safety for pedestrians crossing the road.
  • Support children and families travelling to and from school.
  • Encourage walking and other forms of active travel.
  • Help drivers identify an area of high pedestrian activity.

Before any decision is made, we would like to hear the views of local residents, businesses, parents, carers, and road users.

We invite you to review the proposal and submit your comments, observations, or objections during the consultation period.

All comments received during the consultation will be carefully considered before a final decision is made.

Thank you for taking the time to participate in this consultation and help us improve road safety within our community.
