Residents Engagement: Ben Jonson Community Event & Market

As part of our neighbourhood place‑shaping work for Ben Jonson Road and the Banjo area, we have completed some initial improvements (tree pruning with festoon lighting, parking enhancements and minor footway repairs). The next step is to undertake a community event to understand what residents value most and whether there is support to pilot a regular community market that complements local shops, brings people together and adds life to the street.

We’re organizing the community event initially advertised for the 20th March 2026 at the Ben Jonson Banjo. However, the event has now be placed on hold and new date will be communicated soon. We’d like your views and to answer any questions you may have through the questionnaire attached and a drop-in session.

Residents Drop‑in (one‑to‑one chats) - expired:

10th March 2026, 15:00 to 17:00 at the Harford Community Centre, Ocean View Café area, 115 Hartford Street at the junction with Ben Jonson Road.

Tell us what you think

Please complete our short survey by 30th April 2026 (a paper version is attached if you prefer and can be returned at the drop-in session) or to the Town Hall reception.

Your feedback will help us shape the event (e.g., timing and activities) and decide how the market should be trialled, how often it should run, and what it should sell.

We look forward to hearing from you.
