Mayor John Biggs is hosting a special online edition of his regular Ask the Mayor question and answer sessions.

Join online on Tuesday 23 June between 7pm – 8.30pm to ask your questions and get a live response from Mayor Biggs.

The event will focus on the council’s response to coronavirus, how the council is supporting residents and businesses, as well as any key issues that are concerning you at this time.

Please register to attend. Please note, we have received a high volume of questions ahead of time and are not taking any more questions in advance. You can still come along and ask a question during the event, and you can contact the mayor online or by email at any time.

Your feedback is also very important to us. We will be asking attendees to complete a very short survey after the event to help us improve any future online Ask the Mayor sessions.

Video recording: Please note, we had intended to provide a video recording of the session after the event. Due to a technical issue this was not possible but we do hope to resolve it for the next event.

How it will work:

The event will be hosted through a Microsoft Teams Live event.

You can join through a link which you will receive automatically once you register.

We recommend joining through a web browser on a computer (such as Chrome or Firefox). You can also participate through a smart phone or tablet, but on these devices you may be prompted to download a free Microsoft Teams app.

The event will go live at 7pm on Tuesday - this is when the link will become live/the event will be visible. You will then be able to submit questions by typing them through a Q&A tool. You can also watch the session without asking a question. You will not be able to turn on your camera/microphone.

  • Please take a few moments to let us know what you thought of Ask the Mayor online. Your feedback will help us plan (and if necessary, improve) future events.

The survey contains just eight questions about the event followed by voluntary questions to help us understand a little more about who joined tonight's event.
